On 17 and 18 August 2019, the tenth 24-hour basketball tournament “Krastu mačs” took place, in which the points scored were converted into euros and donated to raise awareness of youth about safety on the water. Zane Grundiņa-Arāja, the founder of the “Swim Safely” association, admits: “Great works need a good beginning. We evaluate the cooperation with “Krastu mačs” and the insurance company “BALTA”, thanks to which this donation is possible, as excellent. The amount we will receive will allow several hundred children to gain valuable knowledge on what to do if you have an accident in the water or you need to help someone else in such a situation.”
